 So this is actually a side track to our last day of geocaching on summer vacation. There is a local Howard Johnson's hotel that has been abandoned for years now. The place is just a gutted mess. And somewhere in there is a geocache (my gps was failing me inside and I couldn't find it). So we went over and I had Rowan bring her last ballet recital outfit hoping to find a space in the building that would offer up a nasty background to my lovely girl. We found the abandoned pool and headed down into it. The first pics I took had a background of graffiti that was rather vile, in word and in picture, that was a bit too harsh for what I would like to have permanently in my portfolio attached to my girl. So we swapped sides and went for this perspective which had a bit more interest to it anyways. The garbage was clearly garbage and the textures would allow for a more entertaining edit. Popped off a handful of shots and then went searching for the cache. And then we got out of there. It was a creepy and probably dangerous place to be hanging out in.

After I edited the pic I showed it to Rowan and her comment was "I am the only thing bright in that picture." and right there I knew I had met the challenge.

Kinda eerie and creepy, particularly with the graffiti, but it works well. The lighting is a bit harsh but it fits the scene that way. Nice shot, one of the best so far.
