Hello there.
What am I looking at here? Wow, again a photo from Iceland.
You must have quite a lot of good photographers in Iceland, because I see more and more of you.
This is again a beautiful photo from Iceland.
Congratulations on your highest score this far, and on your first 6+ photo.
Some people have complained about the top of the church being cut of. I̢۪ve taken a look at your other image in your portfolio, and I must say, even if I don̢۪t like the tight crop that much, it makes this one stronger, and it gives the church a bigger feeling, it let̢۪s us guess how big it really is.
The floodlight works great on this church and creates beautiful shadows and highlights.
This could have been in a travel guide to Reykjavik, so I believe you succeeded with your photo.
There is just one thing that I don̢۪t like about this photo, and that̢۪s the perspective distortion. It looks like the tower is falling. This is a common thing when shooting high buildings especially with wide angle lenses.
There is also a way to correct that with PS.
Just take a look here if you are interested, maybe you can practice on your photo and upload it to your profile when its done, I'm very interested what it will look like then.
Beautiful picture all in all.

I'm not sure if I'm are dissapointed or not. It is from the evening before the end of the challenge so it is some kind of last minute entry. I wasn't going to submit it untill I saw it was ok. And after I submitted it I realised I liked it a lot. And it became my highest voted entry until now.
But I'm the lowest of all icelanders taking apart in this challenge and still all the best "winning" icelanders were not.
And also. It seem to me that I vote a bit different from so many others. I just seem to have different taste than many or even now most of the other voters. Perhaps find something else to build up the selfconfidence again.
And the tower. It was intended to be cut of. I wanted it that way. I also had one with the tower but I'm not quite sure wich was better or worse.
But funny. I posted the picture also to my Fotolog page and I got the comment there:

really beautiful!! Would like to visit Iceland one day...
So it wouldn't be completely useless in a tourist guide!

Nice night shot of this wonderful architecture. This is different from the the Hallgrimur Church shot and yet I note some similarities in the design, both of which I like very much. Compositon on this is very fine, but I wish the front tower we not chopped off . Like the color and the lines. Good luck. |

I really like the shadow play in this shot. Very nice how it uses a natural gradient fade from black. Very enchanting I think. I could definatly see this in a travel guide for a City or State. Good luck with the challenge!!! |

I thought for a moment this was going to be Hallsgrimkirka (or whatever it's called) again. I like it as a photograph, I'm not sure about it for a travel guide: the framing is a bit odd losing the tower like that. The modernist fluting of those pillars is surely worth concentrating on, but I think you've tried to include too much else with it. |

I like the stark feeling this gives. The shapes of the church in light make this an abstract, more than just a record of the church. I can see this in an elegant brochure about your city. |

Good work, I like ghe boldness and how the church nearly fills the frame allthough I wonder if you had a chance to include the whole window at the front of the tower. Maybee a bit of dodging in the sky close to the church would have increased the drama? Anyways a very good shot -9 |
