Beautiful bird and perfect BG to offset it. Bird sanctuary shot which doesn't lesen the image quality, just the difficulty to get it. Good composition and obligatory catchlight in the eye. I'm in two minds about the B&W conversion as these raptors are very colourful. The shade on the neck is annoying and unfortunate. |

Awesome capture. Nice in B&W too. If I were to guess the ID on this Hawk I would say that it's a juvenile Red Tail. The dark mottling in the breast feathers are a RT characteristic. Cooper's would have thinner lines from top to bottom. The light eye color would suggest that this bird is in it's first or second year. |
