 Came upon these deer while out running errands; made a quick u-turn and they were still there, beautifully backlit :-) It pays to have the camera handy at all times! Blew out the highlights but decided I liked it that way.

PP - cropped, tonemapped in qtpfsgui (pregamma 0.697, mantiuk method, contrast mapping 0.1, saturation factor 1.029, detail factor 1) and merged in luminousity mode, increased saturation and contrast, white balance, color balance shift towards orange, levels, vignette, cloned out some bright sky right behind doe's head, dodged deer, resized, sharpened, added border.

awesome! the vignette is a bit harshly transitioning but I didn't even see that until after the wow factor dropped off.

Beautiful picture. Only thing I don't like is the light background... with a darker background the deer would stand out more. But again, beautiful capture.
