"Hope" is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all,

And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.

I've heard it in the chillest land,
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.


I love this poem and I'm thrilled my image did so well.

I love the feather and composition and the combination of dark and light, detail and blur. I do see banding in the upper part of the background that keeps this from being top notch for me - excellent score though.

Simple, clean and quiet. That said, I crave something more. I am not sure exactly what that would be, but this image leaves me feeling a bit flat and wanting more
