This seems to be one of those entries that people either love or hate. It will be interesting to see how the scoring breaks down.


I get why people don't like it, after all why is a little girl all dressed up sitting alone on the side of the road. I guess I meant it more metaphorically than literally. She is starting out young in life all pristine perfect like we all start out with no stains or mistakes. Then we start down the road of life an stuff happens we get dirty we get roughed up you can see the storm clouds in the background.

Well I love my little girl and right now she is just about perfect in my eyes, I know I've got those rough teen age years ahead of her I hope she makes it through to the other side to adulthood with relatively few scrapes and bruises.

Then of course there are those who hate it because they got my metaphorical meaning and thought it was too cliche. That's okay with me too, I'm kind of a cliche kind of girl it's what I like and I don't think I should have to apologize for it.

Thanks for all the great comments liked them all even the ones that didn't like it so much. If we all liked the same thing life would be pretty boring :)

yay! top 10 and the vote scrubber must have helped me a bit I got my first 7 of a free study! I am super excited about that. Plus I got an award from MAK thankyou!

I LOVE this...if anyone is taking this literally, then they have no artistic sense. I love a photo that makes you want to create a story about it when you look at it. This does that well!

Don't apologize for any of your work. I really enjoy the images you come up with. More power to you :)

Like others said, technically beautiful,( I gave you an 8) I mean you can't flaw it, but I would love to see you do more candids, I know this is your style but to break out, would be a tremendous learning curve, after all if we only stay in our comfort zone we will never grow, and growing is how we learn.

I loved this Congrats on the top 10 in a FS!!!! And your daughter is tooo cute..as far as teenager OMG Get a big bat to kill off the boys! (I wouldn't want to be in your shoes!!)

Love looking at portraits. This is a well done portrait with an interesting story for the viewer to imagine. Has sjhuls written all over it. If not, take it as a compliment.

not often a title is this far off. something acknowledging the irony/tongue-in-cheek concept would being us along for this fantastical journey. a cloying title doesnt fit here. while this is of course technically superb, it is the concept that is the story here. "paper moon" she is not - too clean and perfect. pointage of course for the brain power to come up with this idea and for composition; likewise for post. I hope it does well. 7. gl
