| I am not sure what subject is supposed to be being backlit in this photo. But the trees are in silhouette IMO and it doesn't seem to meet the challenge. Otherwise a lovely pic. |

| nice picture but in my opinion it looks like the trees are a silhouette which appears to be what you are shooting beause they are the only thing that cuould be backlight. |

| it's a bit silhouettey, and you might get marked down a bit for that. as a shot without challenge considerations, it's a very attractive landscape picture. i don't know how big the original shot was, but i think youmight have considered cropping off the lower half - there just seems to be a bit too much water and dark indistinguishable bank. the sky is fantastic, the clouds especially cool as they appear to be emanating from the sun. it's a shame that portion of the shot (trees and sky and reflection) forms a small part of the overall composition. 6. |

| This is a beautiful choice for a subject in this challenge. I think you could still show the nice backlighting effect while increasing the light on your foreground so that we can see the water and plants a bit more. Still, nice job! |

I like the image but had to knock off a point because the rules state "the subject must not become a silhouette because of the backlighting."
