 Jay is one of the core members of a cycling group I occasionally ride with called the Night Riders. (They ride at night... duh.) This was taken while we were gathering for the monthly critical mass ride, where he is also a regular. Jay rides a 70's vintage Sears Free Spirit 10-speed (I think he's the original owner) and he keeps up just fine with the folks on their carbon fiber dreamcycles. It ain't the bike, it's the rider.

I've been trying to get a shot I liked of Jay for a while now and finally snagged it. I knew he would be a good addition to my "Old timers with big mustaches" collection.

Greetings from the Comment Bomb Squad!

Just looking through your profile finding a few images with a few comments only in order to give you some more feedback.

Here you have captured a nice, gritty, character portrait. I voted this a 6 in the challenge and the reasons for my vote were that it had great technicals with good exposure and sharpness. I found his face to be in shadow with the light coming in from behind his rightside making his eyes a little dark. The B&W conversion was very well done wth good tones and I like the gritty edge to this up close and personal capture.
