 This Heron was fantastic to work with. As long as your movement was slow, he paid very little attention. As a bonus, this location is very close to my work. Plus he is always in the area. Yeah, almost too easy.

Shot wise, camera was on a tripod and gimbal.
Unfortunately every time he had a big fish, he was at a farther range. Go figure! So this shot had some cropping. Hopefully next time, he will be closer. Plus I will shoot at a better time of day. As the image is a little harsher, than I like. But the moment was great! I kept the shutter speed high, for peak action stopping.

Terrific capture - even the poor fish is facing the right direction! The water drop is an added bonus. Great detail in the feathers and sharp all round.
