Thanks so much for all of the kind comments and votes. I really liked how this turned out. We took our two girls to Lake Calhoun beach, but this cute little blonde girl isn't ours. She was playing near my girls and I just found her very photogenic, so I snapped a few shots of her.

Although some could argue there's more water than sand, this is a beautiful and moody image conveying a great story behind (and future). Congrats on TT.

One of my top picks in this challenge. I really like the desat and the dark edges. The shading gives the illusion of bigger waves and that sense contrasts interestingly with the carefree child. Great job!

Don't we all have memories of a day like this at the beach? The vignetting really works, along with the sepia, to give this a sense of nostalgia. Beautiful little girl.
