 A utility hall at my office.

Low angle shot to get all the good lines and interesting bits of stuff.

I personally really liked the lighting and colors. I did add some green saturation to the two green tubes, just to add a little more interest.

No idea why this image isn't doing well, right now it's sitting at a 4.8. I personally think it's one of my better shots, so I'm a bit baffled. My only wish was that I had a tripod and was able to get down to ~F11 or so for this shot. But that would have required an insanely high ISO, or the tripod. The hall is very dark.

Many thanks guys. You both make good points. I think I was too focused on the graphic nature... and almost viewed it more as an abstract.

This is one of those images that lacks context for the viewer. We all have shots like this, where we know the story around it, behind it, and we see things in it that the viewer does not.

The image seems like the focal point is missing - the dead end itself. I see the lines leading to the dead end, but as currently composed, we don't see that we don't have a way out. Maybe composing it so that the dead end is actually visible so that the lines overwhelm us and make us feel trapped would have made this score better.

looking at the challenge entries, those images that worked best actually showed the viewer where the dead end was located. In your shot, it is merely implied.
