So freaking cute! Very clever idea as well. Technically good, imaginative, love the "superpowers". Bravo. Hope it ribbons! |

Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Imagination in the hands of a child can indeed be powerful. I do like the emotive emotion/mood presented but I think it could be stronger. The first critique I have about the shot is be attentive to the surroundings. The huge 'shadow' of the tree in the backdrop is rather distracting to the composition as a whole. It does not add to the composition. Rather it distracts by becoming an 'third wheel' to draw attention away from your main subject - the charming girl holding the bubble. An open, uncluttered backdrop would keep the attention focused on her. Lastly with expert editing you have far more techniqes open to you to make the world reflected in a bubble....if you so choose. Taking a picture of a 3D model of the earth (i.e. from a science museum exhibit or if a friend has a smaller model that one can get from any 'science' oriented store) and then using the alternate layer modes in photoshop (such as overlay at 10-15%) you can then visually present the girl as holding a soap bubble world in her hands. If you do not wish to utilize the expert editing technique it is possible to attain it with advanced but it would be far more work. The challenging way would be having a huge picture of a world (which I would firmly recommend as being your picture you took in the time frame blown up to huge size) or an affordable blanket/tapestry with a world/galaxy reflected in the bubble. The challenge would be in finding the right angle to position said 'world/galaxy' stand-in so that bubble would reflect back the image. Not easy but possible. |

Interesting entry. The shadows and reflections on the bubble gives the appearance of a planet like earth. IMO a tighter crop would make this a stronger image. |
