| The lone tree, the hostile environment that appears to be getting the upper hand, the brooding sky, and the wide tonal range all seem to be very Adams-like to me. One of my top 10. |

Great setting and good job using the light you had.
The clouds are a double edged sword in this. On one had, they add interest to the sky. On the other hand they prevent any shadow that could be cast by the tree, which would be cool. |

Good detail throughout. I like the slight sepia tone. Good job on the sky with interesting clouds.
The structure of the clouds could have been bumped a bit. Overall, the image is a bit flat (due to the overcast sky, I'm sure). This image would have benefitted from a wider tonal range which would have been represented by highlight and shadow interplay. |
