 This was my first attempt at macro photography. I was using a Sigma 70-300mm lens on a Nikon D300s, which was mounted on a tripod.

Think the compostion spoils this,maybe the greenery could have been moved more to the left.

That red bloom is beautiful. The bright green leaf offers too much competition for my taste.
