Mountain Bluebird in meadow during precipitation.
Hope
Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune--without the words,
And never stops at all,
And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.
I've heard it in the chillest land,
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.

Here we go. This image is probably going to finish the top 20 of an Expert Edit challenge. It would have easily passed a validation for Basic Editing. This gives me hope.
There was a mix of snow and rain. I have another frame with all rain, but it is mostly invisible. The occasional snow had more reflective characteristics (more visible). |

For me, spotting a blue bird and capturing it this sharp before it flies away in itself is a herculian task :) On top of it you have got the snow captured. Awesome. I think this is overly underrated may be because of the expert editing thing. Otherwise this would have been in top 5. Great job! |

With specimens of song,
As if for you to choose,
Discretion in the interval,

Another lovely Emily Dickinson poem. Thanks very much! |

love the blue bird and its expression. I also love the rain and how it almost looks like snow. Great composition. |
