 Used 3 images for this one, two taken by me and one image from the net as a texture only.. Camera on tripod and lighting was 2 constant lights with umbrellas pointing into the corner from different angles.

First I took an image of the empty room.. then I took an image, with same framing, of my girlfriend balanced on a stepladder with her foot and hands against wall.

I placed the images on 2 layers (empty room bottom layer).. I then removed everything but my girlfriend from the top layer image and set transparency to about 65% on normal blending. I also cloned out an electric socket that was distracting lower down the wall.

I merged images and used color efex pro 4 to apply a darken/lighten centre filter and a film efex vintage filter. I applied a texture of an old mirror at 15% transparency to give the image an overall older look. I then resized and used unsharp mask to sharpen the image.

Hopefully managed the effect of my girlfriend as a slightly transparent ghost half way up the wall.

nice transition - the texture on this makes it feel older.
model is a bit too corporeal - she obscures too much of the background, would've preferred a bit 'less' of her.
