 2 exposure HDR using Photomatix.
This is the second challenge in a row I've had to take my photo from underneath an umbrella - good old England!
BTW "Land's End" is just a title and should not be confused with the real Lands End which is in Cornwall.

Thrilled to get a ribbon for this so thanks for all the votes and positive comments - always very much appreciated.
I'm amazed that the second and third places in this challenge are taken at the same location.
I did not take this shot with the 'Landscape' challenge in mind. I was actually out taking shots around Liverpool but it seemed a shame not to call at this lighthouse when it was so nearby.
I chose this shot because it showed more land than sea and because the centred composition was different to my other lighthouse shots

This is gorgeous. Love the foreground, the light emerging from behind the lighthouse and the vignetting to pull it all together. 9!

I recognize this lighthouse from another challenge. I think it's in England? I can see that place has lots of picture possibilities. Nice job.

Might be the winner! Wonderfully done. I was going back and forth with my entry from color to B&W. This really works very well in B&W. The tones and depth are fabulous without being overdone. The only thing that seems out of place in the image are the wind turbines.

I like the almost glowing approach. I also like the lighthouse not being perfectly centered. The rocky foreground with the water etched rocks makes for nice leading lines to the structure/horizon.
