 I have a small collection of these Gnomes by Tom Clark of Cairn Studio. I have had a minor fascination with these small sculptures for quite a while. Each one has its own unique beauty and it takes on a nice 'life' when you look at them.

I'm fairly sure this photo doesn't meet the challenge because photographing a figurine like this won't make you believe it is REAL! I apologize in advance for wasting your time ;)

I shot this photo with an off-camera flash to the immediate left of the gnome. I placed a white board to the right side to allow some of the light to bounce back onto the dark side in an attempt to create some interesting lighting for the texture and detail on this gnome...

Photographically speaking you did a very good job here. However, figurines may not score well, but do not despair, I went all out and my score is very low. Bumping to 6.

Wonderful studio setup. Perfect exposure on a very difficult subject. Composition and DoF could not be better.

even if it's not chocklate as I think it is this one may have probably bring you a win in the chocolate challenge :) It looks like chocolate.

I really like the effect of the bright side light, but think you could achieve the same effect with additional diffuse light from the front which would let us see the subject better. Nice composition and choice of subject.
