So into the favourites it goes. |

I knew this was yours Gordon - was going to come back to it but had little time to vote or comment recently.
Great stuff (if a little too overprocessed for my taste). You have a wonderful appreciation of light and its effects, coupled with a sensitive approach to the processing. Your original has a touch more charm in my view since you left your challenge shot open to the presumption of extensive filter treatments. This does of course only matter if winning is the desired outcome! |

I didn't enter or vote on this challenge but would have marked this highly, great vision.

This is amazing. And now that I look at it again closely I wish that I had given it a 10 instead of the 8 I gave it. It just goes to show you that you should really spend more time looking at a photo before voting, or else go back to them again.
Excellent work Gordon this is a fantastic image! |

I`ll post a copy of the original sometime today for those who expressed an interest in comparing it.You may be surprised at how little was done to achieve the effect. |

I really like this shot. Brings you into the picture. Draws you down to the person, then you think, crap! maybe I should run too. I love the soft effect, too |

I like the overall feeling and composition of this image, but without the title, the figure could be just about anything: a sprite, Hansel running from the woods, a one-legged crow :-), etc. Just the same, its a nice image: mysterious, dark, foreboding, slightly out of focus so you worry about what is out there - and you run from it toward the light. |

Really cool, creepy dark photo and a nice job softening the finished result. This ended up looking more like a painting than a photo, but a really nice painting. :-) Gret job! |

It's only on my third look at this shot that I've worked out the relevance of having a one-legged person here :-) Sense of mystery quite well done - rare here - though I'm not completely sure it's not over-done. I think having the figure closer might have paid off more - let us see the fear, rather than having to imagine it and work out what's happening. But the setting is ideal - the threatening woods are such a strong part of the darkness of true fairy-tales, and that alone puts this in the top bracket. |

Very eerie and well -processed. My only criticism is the odd posture of the character and how the hand and the branch overlap. |

I'm wondering how far this will go due to its heavy digital art feel. I'm more of a purist in that I enjoy photographs whcih depict things in a realistic manner. That being said, I think this is an attractive work. In the strictest sense, photography means painting with light, so in my mind this is definitely legitimate work, but too overprocessed for my personal tastes. That being said I'm giving it a relatively high rating,.. You've created controversy for me, and I like images that make me think. |
