I chose the wrinkley backdrop because I thought a smooth backdrop with blend to much with her skin. I guess I should have tried black. what was I thinking. :-)
Thanks all for the comments.
The thing in her hand is the handle of an umbrella.

Only minor "complaint" is that it looks as though her hands are tilted towards the camera, making her top hand took a little too large proportionally. I'd have positioned the hands nearer the left shoulder. Also, if you can bring her forward without casting too much shadow you might be able to blur the background more and get "draped" rather than creased look. |

What a doll. Great expression. I donĂ¢€™t care to much for the background, I think the wrinkles take a little away from the subject, but the subject is powerful enough to keep my eye off the background most of the time. I would also NOT crop the elbow (petty, but bothersome). Over-all, I love the shot Ă¢€“9- Gotcha |

She looks like she's used to this! Nice lighting, I'm envious. Not crazy about the wide border, but not voting down for it. |

The sharply-focused wrinkles in the backdrop distract from the subject. But this is an excellent photograph overall. (9) |

Damn, You good photographers make me jealous. Good job but a smidge flat. I think a little more light to make your whites a little stronger to give the image more contrast. Just guessing! |

subject is common, lighting could help cause more of a dramatic effect, picture is lacking |

Nice pose, good lighting and if you would have ironed the background sheet I would have rated this a ten. |

Nice portrait. In my opinion, she should be further away from the backdrop with a shorter DOF so that the eye doesn't focus on the background. I would also move the hands away a drop. |

Nice shot! The wrinkeled fabric back drop doesn't do it for me, but the subject is well posed and I love the expression. My guess- she is a tap dancer, but I am not sure what she is holding onto. Well done. |

Great composition and clarity. I love her hat as well. The backdrop is a little wrinkly, but I think it adds to the effect. Nicely done. |
