Not sure I really get the point of this challenge. Seems just like a free study with a fancy name. I took it to mean that I should go photograph somewhere I don't normally go. In this case, I returned to the very small town of Mt Vernon (doesn't even show up in the gps as a town). I stumbled upon this place in the winter when I was driving a little further than I had previously. Turns out that there are a number of interesting sits in a compact area.
This river is not only cool because of the bend and the light, but also because if you look closely through the trees you see a farm in the background. That, to me, really brings the scene together and makes this a rural scene to behold.
