I actually would have liked this much better without the books and bookends. The vase and the branch would have been wonderful by itself. (it was an 8 anyway, but probably would have been a nine by itself. :) |

Not understanding the books, would have preferred just the flowers and vase, just my opinion of course ;) |

(For me)I'm not sure that the books and bookends do a service to this. I think that just the vase and forsythia against that black, would have been great by themselves. |

Interesting setup. For me, the two sets of subjects doesn't work super well. Seems like there is an identity crisis. |

Love the arching branch. I'd have eliminated the bookends and books between, and just the negative space pull our eye back to the left. Just my opinion though. ;) |
