 This is my first official edited image from the Mojave, and in fact, one of the last images of my first stay there.

I'm actually rather surprised (and pleased) that this finished as well as it did. I knew I was taking a huge risk entering such an "unconventional" image, especially by cutting out the sun. But this sang to me, and I'm glad to see it did to others. Thanks so much for the votes and comments. Lens flares RULE!

Don't particularly like the glare/reflections from the sun. The road is very interesting and well detailed... but the sunrise/sunset is cropped out of the shot.

Nice composition, but the lens flare detracts IMO. Sometimes holding your hat or hand just above the lens to block the flare works.
