It was a foggy day. Couldn't tell you morning or afternoon. Couldn't tell you what took me to this particular park this day. Can tell you I had a D300 over one shoulder and a converted-to-infrared D80 over the other. This was shot with the '300.

This is a funny park.

It's on the outskirts of a very rich little suburban city (home turf of a lot of Microsoft executives). So it's a huge park way off in the middle of nowhere, but built up as if expecting a million people a day. There's two full-size astroturf soccer fields, a couple baseball diamonds, and a boardwalk walking path that loops over a ridiculous number of wetland acres. All are meticulously cared for.

The park even has its own stoplight to get in and out. It's the only stoplight on an otherwise two-lane country road, and probably the only stoplight in nearly two miles any direction.

Anyway, this shot is from the wetlands. The concrete retaining wall holds in a concrete manufacturing plant. I think it looks like a barricade, the morning after some apocalyptic war.

I'm not a fan of the tilt making the trees not straight. I think if they had been straight it would let my mind get over to that fabulous dreaminess on the right more easily.

I like the mist/fog in this...but for me...the block wall isn't something that appeals to me..no offense
