| Nice black and white. I think the focus should have extended a little to include part of the log. But overall, it's a nice picture and a great euphemism |

| Interesting image, the DOF plays interesting on the edge of the fracture, making the end very in focus, and the bark instantly behind it blurry. Very 3D. |

| I think I know where the author was headed with this image, but it is a little darker than necessary. A little less bokeh would also help. Still, a good effort and a worthy entry. |
