So many elements I like in this one. Contrast, hallway and the whole urbex feel of it; just great!

An empty shot appropriate for your title. Nice entry.

Good demonstration of how this phrase is understatement covering up devastation.

I would have liked more work to have been done to show the walls and ceiling as i,m sure they are of interest.

Just a comment if you will, but I wonder if the author tried a landscape capture also? A longer, deeper shot of the light - then again, that's what I might have tried so ignore that comment if you want. I like it - the transition from dark to light is smooth, the intent of the image is clear and from a technical standpoint, nothing much to complain about.

Awesome

Beautifully shot. Love the "old, run down" feeling of the photo. It aches of loneliness. The fact that the door is slightly cracked open implies that someone "just left", which ties in perfectly with the euphemism. The sharpness/detail is great. The lighting is impeccable. 10

A multi-tiered meaning! That's one convenience of these euphemisms, I'll say. I like it.
