excellent candid portrait - the b&w gives the shadows the emphasis they need and gives more emotion to the image. |

You let some "negative capability" into this shot, in other words, you made some irrational decisions that you can't logically explain. jagar + negative capability = awesomeness |

This has interesting humor and certainly seems to have a mysterious if not comical story behind it. It sort of has the "waiting for my wife" vibe to it yet so much more. |

It's a funny picture. As if a companion has been excised, and the picture inexpertly repaired to cover his or her absence. Thank you. |

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: Signature soft glowing but sharp toning that has the perfect measure of the scene. A really interesting character and a most interesting backdrop. You really are master of the light though.
Critical stuff: Nothing
Overall: Masterful. |

I have liked this all along but it's one that appeals to me more each time I look at it -- the shifting look of the boards is intriguing and of course works perfectly with the title. Well done. Bumping it up a bit. |

Yeah it sure does. Nothing is what it's cracked up to be. Nicely captured moment and impacts well in B&W. Good processing too. |
