 Thank you so much. This wasn't a particularly difficult shot, it just required a 10 foot Ladder, a single strobe, one of my daughter's good friends from ballet, and a swiffer to polish up my living room floor. As several of you commented though, I did view this photo as a bit of a Degas tribute and the processing reflected that. Degas believed that the beauty of the dancer existed not just on the stage but in the grace and poise of every day activities. This image was designed to create that impression as well. My only meaningful processing was to soften and desaturate the image somewhat to give it a somewhat older and more painterly feel. Thank you for all the wonderful comments, for only my second blue ribbon, and for a personal best score. It means a lot to me.

Except for that white spot on her shoulder(looks like a reflection off a strap), this is a superb setup. Great angle she is set up on and the darker tones.
