 I have to add that these dogs are some of the happiest on the Loire Valley. They live at the chateau, fed 2 lbs/day, groomed and pampered and massaged if necessary. In larger spaces they become aggressive. They are much cherished hunting dogs and earn a lot of prizes. The smell is overpowering but the nearby garden and the spectacular rolling hills makes all harmonious.
