Despite the fact that some are still in use, we've turned off the DPL threads.
The Private Message system is still capable of multiple participants if you need some sort of group communication. |

| I appreciated the private thread for us... but also would have appreciated an advanced warning so we could copy learning information that we shared during the DPL. |

oh no!!! You're so right! OMG! I didn't go back and grab the info from Judi on how she does b&w portraits, or the Ursula stuff on luminosity masking, etc.
Ok, now I feel a little sick...
Is that information still there? Can we have it back for 2 or 3 days? There was so much that I want to grab.

Vote-blocking of teammates' photos is no longer in effect, so open collaboration is not such a good idea at this point ... I am almost certain that the threads are, as stated, "turned off" and not deleted. |

You can actually still access your team thread if you have the URL for it, and therefore you can archive it yourself if you feel the need to. I found this out by accident and notified my teammates.

this should pick up your teams thread..then SAVE your link..just in case ;-)

| Our team thread was used for simply keeping in touch at this point. Our continued colluding/collaborating takes place in separate group email threads. :-) Some of us (but not all) still help each other evaluate entries. And if we know those entries, we either work at voting fairly or don't vote at all. Well, I did give one teammate a 10 recently. But would have done so under any circumstances, so I consider it fair. It did not help him win a ribbon. |

Collaboration took place before the team threads and will continue after the team threads. It seems to be a weak reason for "turning off" threads that many enjoyed for the camaraderie and friendship. It's like having our private club house and - at least in our Pirate thread - we talked about personal things that would not be suited to put in the public threads.
