I'm looking for a bag to carry one lens, a few filters, filter holder, and other small items. Bags to carry the body and lens are bigger than what I want this for.
Any suggestions?

Have you thought about just getting an oversized lens case? Get one that's bigger than the lens you want to carry. With the sliplock system, all you need to do is wear a belt and you can strap it onto that.
LowePro lens cases.

I thought about this route, but I'm looking for something just a bit bigger, and not so round.

Are you looking for a shoulder type bag or lumbar? Any preference there?

Either one, but I think I might lean towards lumbar.
