It really didn't look interesting from the thumbnails. They were less than impressive. But when you voted on the full image, there were some wonderful gems. I didn't think I was going to like the challenge, but I ended up having fun voting. (I voted days ago)

Same here - 87 votes in Branches and 103 in the Bizarre challenge. Scores not great in either one - I'm sooooooo misunderstood. ;-) I don't normally vote in challenges I enter but I will before rollover for this one as we need more votes!

It's really quite interesting voting in a challenge you entered. If you can ignore your current score -- forget it completely -- and vote the way you normally do, it really puts your own photo in perspective. You find yourself thinking "wow, I wish I thought of that", "I would have changed that and moved that around", etc. At least for me, I'm so much more interested in the photos in the challenge. Challenges that I'm not in I find less interesting. Perhaps because I haven't been so focused on all the ins and outs before hand. You just have to ignore what's happening with your score, and base your votes on whether a photo is better or worse than your photo.

Try it--it's really interesting!

Was referring to the 5's it was getting at the time, bringing the score down... thankfully, it's been getting some 7 and greater to bring it back up a little.

Me Too! LOL! :-)

I know what you mean Wendy, and I certainly don't consciously compare my image to anyone's and score theirs lower. I always try to look at each image independently and not even compare them to the other entries. I was just trying to avoid any unconscious bias.

3 more votes in Bizarre but no more for Branches. :-(

Wendy, I think when you said this: You just have to ignore what's happening with your score, and base your votes on whether a photo is better or worse than your photo you meant to say to NOT base your votes on whether a photo is better or worse than yours.

As for mine, I am quite and truly delighted!! It just peeked its little head over the 6.00 mark, and though it will finish below that, it did enjoy the view for the few moments it was hanging out with the Big Boys. :-)

I was hoping this shot would do better than it is, but it's picked up a bit and currently sitting at it's highest score since the early votes. Not great, but not the worst I've ever gotten either...middle of the road.
