Seriously, no one else spent the whole morning shoveling snow like I did today? C'mon... share those pictures! We had nearly 20" at our house:

Argh... I live near Toronto, and usually we have a couple blizzards like this every year... but this year we've only had one significant snow fall, and it was a fraction of what you guys just got. I miss the snow... everything looks all brown and dead around here.

Oh, and nice place :)

Well, it started at 12:30 yesterday afternoon, and JUST stopped within the last hour. It was coming down like crazy, and I shoveled our driveway three times last night. We lost our power at 1:00 a.m., and thank goodness it came back on around 9:30 this morning. The house was already getting pretty cold.

I spent about 2 1/2 hours shoveling the driveway again, and it isn't very long! The news folks are saying this is the 4th largest snowfall in our recorded history, with 20.6". I have 18.5" in my front yard.

Thankfully we live at the top of a very large hill... you can bet that there will be a heat wave in the next few weeks, and we'll have massive flooding from all of this.

I didn't get any. I went south = )

southern NC did get some snow about a week ago, maybe 1/2" but enough to close schools and send locals in a panic

Isn't this all your fault? Aren't you the guy who makes sure that groundhog doesn't see his shadow?

The groundhog merely foresaw this, he didn't cause it.

Manhattan had less than predicted: only a light dusting that didn't even stick. I think parts of Brooklyn and Staten Island got a couple of inches. The main snow was south of us.

Here's a current shot from a couple minutes ago from my front porch. It's almost white out conditions right now.

I have like nine feet in my backyard- want some more? Easterners. :)

BTW- Five feet of that came in one night (about a seven hour span).

We had close to 20 inches (45 or more centimetres) here yesterday and this morning. Thankfully I pay someone to clear my driveway out. I went out to take a few pics, nothing spectacular though.

We have about 20 inches so far and its supposed to last another 4-5 hours. Just got done shoveling for an hour, so when it finally stops I have a little less to do. This is worse than the December storm for me (I live in Jersey, just outside of Philly.)

Yeah, but you people are prepared for these things. When we get anything more than 2", people completely freak out and head to the store to buy toilet paper (I'm serious). Apparently a lot of people around here spend all their time pooping during storms. I dunno.

Its true - they must go to the store, buy lots of bread, eggs and cheese, and end up pooping the entire time.

All clear and breezy here, and about 73F though it is supposed to be around 42 here tonight. It's our version of winter here in S W Florida.

I spent three hours at the grocery store Friday morning to get milk and lunchmeat. But I really, really needed them! My son drinks a gallon of milk every two days! I had sent my daughter the night before for the milk, and they were sold out so I made sure I got there early.

Ahh, but in the mountains we had 7 or 8 inches of snow and a couple of inches of ice.

and it is still here.

and it is still spitting snow.

(The week before Christmas, we had a huge snow. It finally completely melted over a month later. One week later, it snowed again. It stayed for a couple of weeks then this stuff. I haven't seen my yard but one or two days since December. Highly unusual for us).
