A Bug's Life: Insects, Bugs, Beetle

No winter bugs here. ;|

Spiders are the only bugs around here this time of year, and they're in my house.

Roz, do your stuff. :D

Was just going to post this. I haven't seen a bug in a month. Just the pests I work with.

Couple inches of new snow here tonight, no bugs. Must be a southern hemisphere challenge. Too bad, this is one of my favorite topics...

Wouldn't you get hammered for that? It says-

"get out in the field and shoot a "bug" (or bugs) in its natural environment."

Most of the insects are born there, it's their natural environment. ;/

All kinds of creapy critters roaming about here. Some big ole bugs too.

I am told this one is a small one.

Amen! I'm sure Roz is out even as we speak capturing another award winning masterpiece. Oh, and Greg too! Hanging around with her has certainly given him the edge over the rest of us mere mortals as well :)

Congrats to the two of them in advance!

How 'bout fly tying or spiders in the basement. Then there's always that creepy guy down the street with the humongous glasses.

I thought I heard a cricket in my basement until this challenge was announced. Now I don't hear it anymore. LOL!

No bugs here. I chased a fruit fly around trying to catch it...

Is a slug
considered
a bug?

Surely Roz has some way to "lure" them to her secret shooting room/place...it has to be in her bag of tricks...sugar water...over ripe fruit...dead meat (yuck)

a week ago this was in my driveway...now it's too cold for any bugs or spiders outside.

I have no idea what kind of spider it is either.

Well... one thing I did notice... my husband made me carve the SPAM outside during the SPAM challenge, there were a lot more flies hanging around that day....

so does this mean the compitition is doing the other challenge?

Maybe this is payback for the "Foliage" challenge.

Last time I entered a bug challenge I went too far out of the box:

well, in FL most of the bugs are not as visible (especially this wk as it is 50ish degrees right now) but you can always count on the roaches...but for some reason I don't think that will go over as well...I don't want to see all the tiny, tiny details....hmmmmm

Oh wow! I didn't think of roaches. I know a few people that live in apartment complexes. They always complain about roaches. I'll have to go visit with camera in tow.
