what about on the dinner plate?

on the plate or in the bin
anywhear you want
this will give people with an underwater camera a chance to enter something in which their camera will be most useful and people with a normal camera can also do this challenge.,

Although I think that could be a fun challenge, I think it would also be limiting for too many people.

The vast majority, if not all, of challenges here give everyone a chance to enter in one form or another. There might be a lot of people here without a fish tank, or similar, which would either exclude them completely from the challenge or leave them only able to take photos of goldfish in a local pond, or else countless photos of fish fingers on plates ;)

What about a variation of some sort of that that would broaden the topic somewhat but still leave a very obvious in for the underwater shots?

Me sarcastic? Far from it. I was trying to express how much I loved that picture, which most certainly isn't mine! Lighten up!!

I wrote "Mmmmm!" If you want to TAKE that as sarcastic, not much I can do about it. I'm not going to second guess every comment I make to make sure it doesn't offend somebody, particularly if it's a one word positive like this one. And, you seem to think I was taking credit for the photo. Look again, and you'll see that I QUOTED dhare's post, which means it's not my picture. Geesh.

I like it but if you took so much time getting the lighting and set-up right, you should have taken the time to clean the cuttlery (the knife looks dirty). You should also have aimed the cuttlery on a slight angle outwards (on the top) to compensate for the warp you got as a result of a wide lens.

I like the idea though and the colors are great! Nice job!

Ahh yes.. I got a lot of comments about dirty cuttlery. The marks you see are actually figerprints. I didn't pick them up, I was too busy concentrating on the plate. Good 'ol tunnel vision is my curse.

Glad you like it!
