I have a camera it is not digital.
It has a nice big lens on it, can i use that same lens on a digital camera? the lens is
smc pentax-f 1:4-5.6 35-80mm

Pentax has a dSLR called the *ist d that uses K type lenses. |

When you invest in a DSLR, you want to choose a system, that fits your needs. First and foremost, research waht lens system will be best for you, then be a body accordingly. If it turns out to be Pentax, you're set. If it does not, sell your Pentax if you no longer use it, and use the money toward your system of choice.
