Better than I was planning. How's everyone else doing? Don't be shy.

6.27 average

But I've averaged 7.25 over the last 6 votes, not that I'm obsessing, LOL!

Go baby, go!

with 0 Comments, this is what dissapoints me....

But with my score, it seems to be a middle of the road shot which tend not to get commented on as much as the really good or the really bad.... I'd be happy with anything right at this point, even a "Hey, it's a picture" :-)

hey Jen - your comment on my shot was my only one, and that was the 94th or something vote - there's time yet!

I wasn't expecting to break 6 with this picture, and it was hanging around 5 until this morning (still lower than I expected). I was expecting it to finish in the 5.5-5.8 range. Partly because I shot during the week, but only decided to enter in the last hour. So I didn't give myself much time to convert from raw and consider the conversion factors, levels, saturation, etc. And I should have cloned out a few distracting elements, but there just wasn't time (I actually did it, but wasn't happy I did a clean enough job, so I submitted the "original" version.

The good part about making mistakes though is that you see that people are on the ball. I have 5 comments, a few of which point out these things (what I already knew, but good to see people are willing to offer constructive comments).

95 votes and a score of 5.1ish i was hoping for better ('course) but with one comment i am thinking the same--middling photos do not get the comments... i've only commented on about 10% so far...there's time yet.

Well, without going into too much detail about the pic, it should be doing better. Of the 11 comments I think 9 say the same thing - basically I need a new monitor as I messed up in ps. I think it would be in the high fives without my little (last minute) faux pa .
My fault, but a least I checked the date on the cam before shooting it

I tend to vote first then go back through during the days following to comment. I'm hoping that's the case with the folks who have already voted on mine. Well maybe at least 3 or 4 of them anyways. :-) Ok, Ok... 1 or 2 then?

No comments for me either. 86 votes and not a word. But then again, I'm pretty average and silence is the punishment for 5.something..

Hm, think I'm going out there to give a few words to some really uninteresting images :-)

Started well above 5. Now I just hope to break 5. I figured it would warrant around a 5.5 but you can never tell.

15 now (thanks Margaret/Daisy77). I'll never tell. ;)

edit: ok, I'll tell: it's nun, sitting on a motorcycle, smoking, eating badly, chewing her fingernails, drinking a coffee, while contemplating sleeping pills and cracking her knuckles. But she's SMACK inthe middle of the photo. oh wait...that was for another challenge...

102 votes, 3.5588 avg vote and 5 comments. Although sorta kinda constructive, most people do not see the big picture and are narrow minded enough not to see two separate groups as one potential piece that is centered in the image.

Let me know which is yours and I'll leave a comment as long as you vote on mine with a 10. :D

Not what I thought it would be, but oh well...it's still early. It could still sink fast!

I made the mistake and submitted the photo that I really liked, I should have submitted the one that is more DPC likeable. 5.4 and 4 comments so far is pretty good, its just that people have seen many photos of my subject, I guess I forgot to take that into account when choosing my submission.

..I didn't think my photo would win this challenge, but the attraction I feel for it, doesn't seem to be felt by you all! It's funny though, that everyone is saying this :)
I do get curious for your pictures..you just let too little out to recognize the photos, but just too much not to get really really curious!!!
Some people say that they've had comments that were all the same..but, how does one know what another has commented? When I make my comments I write down everything that strikes me, I don't think it's odd that others have noticed it too, but if I wouldn't write down the things I notice, what would then be the purpose of commenting?
