Hello all,

I have just joined and have uploaded some photos to my portfolio. I would love some feedback as I am trying to sharpen my skills. Most everything you will see has had minimal, if any, Photoshop manipulation. If so, it is typically limited to doge, burn, brightness and contrast. I occasionally clone out various artifacts.

Thanks for your time!

are you wanting the blurred effect while they are dancing? They are nice snap shots, I think I like the chair picture the most because you are trying to say something with it, keep at it. Ideas will come and then just run with them. Most of all take pictures for yourself, and if you like them then it really doesn't matter what others think...now if your trying to sell them your work that might be different.

Note: In the basic challenge you can not do a lot of the PS manipulations that you mention. In the Advance challenge you would be able to. Don't want anymore people to get DQ'd.

Very beautiful shot.Blues give a very cold feeling.

I like the shallow depth of field. Good color contrast makes the shots appealing.

yes, actually i am wanting the blurred effect. i feel it adds movement and interest to the shots. also, it lends quite an unexpected sense of serendipity -

thanks for the comments!

Thanks for the input - actually in the shots you have chosen, there has been no PS manipulation at all.

wondering why this thread was moved from The Critique Club to Individual Photographic Discussion?

Wish someone had informed me prior to moving it...

Critique Club is reserved for .. the Critique Club :P
It is a group of DPC'ers that give special critiques on challenge submission..
Apparently an SC felt this belonged here instead.

Welcome to the site.. Nice shots.
