I got an e-mail about that too. It looks like a really good money maker for the people putting it on. The site says that they took in over 12,000 entries last year. It's $25 for your first entry and $15 for the second. Assuming that averages out to about $20 a person, they took in $240,000 in entry fees and the top prize was $1000.
It looks like you might do pretty well if you visit India, Iraq or Afghanistan though. :) |

| On Googling it I see quite a few photographers mentioning it in their portfolios, and notice that Lensbaby, among others, is (or was) a sponser. I was wondering if it was another Photolaureates but I guess not. |
