The challenge number may be #1,000... but due to tests and other reasons, there have been challenge numbers that were assigned to things other than actual challenges. The "real" thousandth challenge will be #1,005. If something special is going to happen to mark the milestone, it will most likely occur for the "actual" thousandth challenge.

Oh, some other anal retentive would have eventually tossed the wet blanket out :) I think "Jejejeâ¢" would be an interesting topic, actually...

then challenge topic should be Analysis

(Word origin: from lysis < from Latin lysis, from Ancient Greek ëýóéò (ââlooseningââ).

They said the same thing about the people that pointed out that the year 2000 was not technically the start of the 21st Century either.

Yeah, that's like all the goobers who celebrated the year 2000 as the start of the 21st century (it was the last year of the 20th, BTW). But man this was hammered and shoved down our throats to no end...

You don't want to vote on a 100 shots like this? I don't know why...

I wish the 1000th challenge was still a few months away. We're in our most unphotographical season right now here, (late winter. The greyest, dirtiest, ugliest, grossest, muddiest, most depressing time) and just the thought of having to approach such a potentially exciting challenge in these conditions makes me want to weep.

Challenges are hard enough, without them having to come at a time of year that makes them even more challenging!!!

CURSE YOU TIMING!!

So why doesn't it surprise me that Slippy'd have something like that in his portfolio?

Yuck!
