Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM

I'm excited to find this site and look forward to getting to know people, while learning and improving my photo skills. Right now I'm totally lost on the site but hope to make progress as I work through the process. I'm trying to find the size restrictions regarding portfolio shots; any help would be greatly appreciated; I've searched but have found the info pertaining to challenges but not to portfolio posts; are they the same?

There are no size restrictions for portfolio images, but if you load full-sized images your portfolio space will fill up very quickly. I use the same sizes I use for challenges.

Thanks so much for responding; I'm just trying to get a feel for the sizing restrictions of the site. I appreciate your help! I feel extremely NEW and a little lost but will continue to check out everything until I feel more at home.

Hi Nina, your charity is nothing short of admirable. As far as portfolio size, I use 720 pixels widest side, 200 Kbs file size. Hope you have fun here..

Thanks so much for already making me feel so welcomed. I threw a few images into my portfolio and will add some more soon. Just trying to get some basics covered to hopefully establish myself a bit. Thank you for encouraging my charity efforts; it is overwhelming at times but it has been an incredible blessing to experience firsthand the power of photography; it has been amazing and unbelievably so for someone who hasn't been shooting too long. I'm really looking forward to working hard and learning. Thank you for your kindness!

Welcome aboard Nina. Watch out for the ATL GTG, we just had one but sometime this year we will have another so watch out for the thread.

Thanks for clarifying the lingo; I will get the hang of this; that sounds fantastic. I hope in time that I can meet other folks from the area as it's always fun having some shooting buddies and there are tremendous things going on in the Atlanta photo world right now.

I viewed your profile page an applaud your charity work. It's great when we can use our talents to make another life better. Welcome to DPC you will find a diverse group of photographers here that try to share a common goal; learn from others, help others, and respect each other.
