Hello, has anyone here used Bibble 4 and if it̢۪s any good. Bibble 5 will be releasing soon and they claim it̢۪s the fastest raw conversion software. Any thought from the pros out their.

I use Bibble a lot and really enjoy it - very quick and easy.
I have tried both Bibble Lite and Bibble Pro and find that Lite does just about everything that 'Pro' does except batch processing. |

I was a Bibble 4 user. It was nice but it crashed a lot.
I ended up frustrated, so I bought Rawshooter Pro instead, which I loved (and was much more stable). But that company was bought out by Adobe, and they helped develop LightRoom.
It's not as fast as Rawshooter, but it has won my heart (especally version 2, with it's added features.)
Check out the LR threads. |

That's interesting - I've used it for about 3 years now and it has always been stable. I've also used it to read all sorts of proprietry raw files without any issues.
Is LightRoom a similar price ? |

I've used the Bibble Pro standalone program on Windows and Linux for several years and I've always found it fast and stable. I can't comment about the photoshop plugin - one of the members of my photographic club did try it but found it unreliable. Whether that was a general problem or just her setup, I don't know.
I'd recommend trying the demo versions and see if it works for you. |

I've used Bibble for years now and love it. There were some builds that weren't so stable but it seems pretty good now. Some of the plugins (like the Ansel Adams plugin) are absolutely amazing. I highly recommend it.
The interface does take a bit of getting used to but from my understanding all those problems will be fixed in ver. 5. Keep in mind ver. 5 has been "coming out" for well over a year now and many people (including me) are starting to wonder if it's ever coming out. |
