Got some new neighbors a couple weeks ago. A family of Robins built a nest about 6 feet off the ground in my backyard. I thought it would make an interesting collection if I photographed the progress of the babies about once a week: (Click thumbnails for larger versions)

Oh, and by the way, these photos were taken at extreme personal risk. It is inevitable that one of these times I'll either get pecked in the back of the head or pooped on.

Very cute, just make sure you dont disturb the nest, babies, or the parents! |

Well I'm quite sure the parents were disturbed (or at least perturbed) by me but I'm being very careful not to touch the nest.

Nice images Matt, I think they are fairly tolerant to visitors but would recommend that you keep the visits to a minimum, it is not that rare for them to desert the nest if disturbed too often.
Looking forward to your updates,
Paul. |
