Great shots there Roost! I really enjoyed "Taking a Bow!" Its great that you have gotten to the point where you are proud of your shots. I still have a LONG way to go before I can reach that point. Rooster, you should also be proud of your work before these shots. I really enjoy your style and that is something to be proud of. Keep up the good work and keep doing what you do best.

Warmest Regards,
Matthew

Nice ones! Browsed thru a couple of your other galleries while I was at it... some good ones there too. Love the jellyfish and the one with the dog looking right at the camera.. :)

Matthew,

man you are super sweet! Thank so much for the kind words. I take them to heart!
You know, I wasn't very good when I started less than a year ago. Check the shot I first submitted if you don;t believe me. But as I got to know my camera & was more able to use it to express the vision I had in my mind.
I liked winning my one & only ribbon but I have to admit that some of the ones that have scored low are really the ones I like the best. They represent a feeling, a moment, that makes me happy and so I love then more than the ones that do better in the ranks.
Keep faith that your enthusiam will fuel you & your photography will be as you want it to be.
Good luck in future challenges. I'll keep an eye on your stuff! And thanks again for all the nice things you said here & in other thread.
Peace
Rusia

Rooster,

Those are some great shots. As for the one's you like the best, they will always be the best. Pictures are really for the person taking them, if you can make someone else happy with them, then that is just bonus!

Some great shots Rooster... Can I ask what type of lenses you used for these shots?

What do you mean, finally got some shots you can be proud of? hmmm...you take some good pictures. You should be proud of every shot you take. You should also be very critical of every shot. At least I am. Those are great shots. I tried getting close to the ducks here and they quickly move away. Even with a 200mm lens I couldn't get a good shot of them. You did good!
