| Sorry if this may seem obvious, but I am new to stock photography and I am wondering if you can send the same photo to more than one stock photo agency? I didn't think you could, but I want to make sure. |

some agency have the exclusive option, if you select that option you can't submit the same photo to other agencies. |

| Yes, I noticed that while browsing there websites. I am thinking about starting out submitting to a few different sites such as Shutterstock and iStock. After a while I'll see which one I prefer or the sales are going better on and become exclusive with them and remove my photos from the other sites. So submitting all my completed photos to all the sites I am a member of is allowed? |

Why do you want to go exclusive with one agency?

| It depends on the stock agencies you want to submit to. If they are non-exclusive, it means that you can sell the same photos with other (also non-exclusive) stock agencies. |

| Choosing to be "exclusive" to one agency does increase your earnings per photo .... by a small margin. |

Certain agencies have photographer exclusivity (iStock, Fotolia and perhap others) and other sites have image exclusivity like dreamstime, fotolia, and probably others.
If you are not exclusive anywhere you can upload your images on all the sites.
