| I like how even though I havn't posted something in 35 months, I've never entered a challenge (i'm scared...), I can still be on this website pretty much daily, voting, learning, viewing some amazing photos and being inspired. I have to give a challenge a go... The DPC demons are calling me... Sucking me in... |

I remember my first challenge. I submitted the photo a few hours before boarding a plane to a different country. Once there, I couldn’t stop listening to voices in my head saying “must check internetâ€Â¦ must check internet”. I was pretty sure I was getting nice, decent votes. I’d be proud of myself. The moment I logged in, I went pale: average score was in the low 4’s and comments were basically “DNMC”. I didn’t even know what DNMC meant! :) It sounded impossible, but I had failed to understand the first challenge I had entered! I got a bit traumatized but I didn’t give up, and I was hooked on the second challenge :) |

Learning from the real pros!!! There's some amazing talent here!!!
One of the most encouraging examples is Joey Lawrence, who we all saw take his first steps into photography right here among us, and now he's really flying!!!

Boy, ain't that the truth. Honestly, I think what I really enjoy about DPC, is the knowledge that can be obtained. There are some very talented people on board. Now if only my brain could absorb it all, without melting down.

| The way DPC makes me take photos of different things; it makes me think about the subject of the photo. Without it I'd just take photos of things around me. |

I am always blown away by the generosity of people here. Most recently I am still buzzing about  njsabs2323 coming to shoot my nieces wedding on short notice and short budget!

Yep! That's a REALLY wonderful part of this place.
I also like that it goes way past generosity in some cases and into serious compassion.
The way people rally around one of the family in times of hurt, mloss, pain, or need is amazing! |

I met a lot of friends and one of those friends had a friend who had a friend who now will become my wife. That's what I like about DPC.
