I would like to be able to "table" an image and go on to the next one. It is so hard to make those fine discriminations on pictures in the middle of the pack. But the great ones really jump out at you. Would it be bad for the voting to only vote on the ones you really liked or didn't like?

I dont think voting or not is 'bad' (being that bad is a moral term) however, I think if you ignore all the shots that you do not like, they will do better perhaps than you think should without voting on them.

I don't think so. That is how I use to vote, the ones that really affected me one way or the other, and then I was in a forum, where a person was getting only like 2 votes on the fourth day into the challenge and I thought, how sad if you entered a photo & got zero votes. So the last time I voted on a challenge, I voted on all of them as I paged through, and then went back & readjusted my votes. I am a newbie so take that into consideration.

I take 'em as they come. It forces me to look at each one on its own terms, since I realy don't know what to expect next.
Also, it pretty much guarantees that I don't vote first on everything that attracts me via the thumbs, and get left at the end with a seemingly endless parade of the ones that are less interesting to me.

Great point about the endless parade.

If you would like to pass on an image and go back to vote later, you can just click on the << or >> arrows next to 1 and 10 respectively. It goes to the next image in either direction and doesn't place a vote.

Just be careful to click on the arrows and not the number beside it (easy to do). :-)

Your votes get wiped out if you voted on less than 20% of the entries.

I usually go through all the entries on the first hour of voting and vote only on those that really wow me, usually leaving a comment. I vote on the other entries throughout the week... a little bit here and there, up to the very last hour! I'd say that I've voted on 100% of the entries since I joined, whether I like the image or not.

There are some that for some reason or another are unable to vote as much as they liked which is not necessarily a bad thing. Maybe others are rating only the images they like.
