Curious if any D100 owners have played around with any custom curves? Are you having better results with custom curves as opposed to Nikon's default curve. Did you create it yourself or download it?

I use Adobe color mode and .NEF format out of the camera. I then use photoshop cs to do all adjustments (the camera raw plug-in does all the work).

If you work with RAW images, the curves are essentially moot. if you are looking for good .jpg's right out of the camera, then applying a custom curve may do the trick for ya (but, the moment your shooting conditions change, you will prolly need to upload another custom curve to address the changes).

My two cents: shoot in Raw (.NEF) format and let 3rd-party software do the work for ya afterwards.
