Noooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!! I emailed Canon last night and here's the reply I got.

Damn it! I'm moving to Japan. Why do the Japanese get everything! First the 18-55mm w/ USM and now a black bodied 300d as well. :(

Chances are that the stores only stock them one at a time. Being so pricy, not many folk go there to purchase it.

Electronics are much more expensive in Japan, even tho it is manufactured there.
