Photographer charged in actor's death

NORRISTOWN, Pa. -- A photographer was ordered held without bail today on charges that he killed a 23-year-old Ontario adult film actor who had been missing for almost a month.
Anthony Joseph Frederick, 46, of Eagleville, Pa., was charged with first- and third-degree murder, abuse of a corpse and possessing an instrument of crime. He was also charged with lying to authorities.

District Attorney Bruce Castor of Montgomery County said the victim was actress and model Natel King, also known by the stage name Taylor Sumers.

King died of multiple stab wounds to the chest and neck, and her body was wrapped in a backdrop similar to the type used by photographers, Castor said. She also suffered wounds on her hands.

This Girl was taking psychology courses at Memorial University in Newfoundland.....That is where I am from!

Melissa,

I pray that you are not in the same field of "acting".

Sad indeed. Some professions carry a higher risk of injury.

Choose wisely.

Hey Mel you know which part of the Island she was from? On NTV they said she was living in St.John's just 2 years ago and that she was a correspondence student at MUN but didn't say if she was originally from there.

I live in Philadelphia and it has been covered a lot in the past two weeks on the news. She was from Canada and a porn star. They are thinking that it was the photographers "fantasy" that went a little awry. Whatever the story it is still a human life being snuffed out and it stinks. Saw his picture on the news and there is no way I would ever let him take a picture of me that's for sure. The guy looked like a nut job.

Hey Owen, I am not really sure but what I have read on the Internet, seem like she was not from Newfoundland but just went to school there!

Owen I just went on the NTV.ca website and it said there "An autopsy confirms it is Newfoundlander, Natel King" and that "the 23 year-old will be brought home to Newfoundland to be buried." So I guess she was from Newfoundland then.

For any aspiring "models" that might be reading this thread, it may be prudent that if you contract for a session with a photographer that requires you to be bound (tied or shackeled) with a red rubber ball stuck in your mouth, then at least have a friend/partner/associate accompany you, with a fully charged cell phone battery to call local authorities if things go awry.

For the fotog's that may be reading this, please understand the request of your models, to have a friend present, during photo shoots. There have been other reports of photographers killing models. This is not unique to this region or this model's "industry".

Just think it through and make informed choices.

Hi Mel,

Hoping to go back to Voisey's within next couple of weeks. Right now the LIA and the Innu Nation are trying there best to keep islanders out. But that's got to change soon because they will soon run out of skilled trades and have no choice but take them from here. Reverse discrimination I guess.

Cheers,

Owen
